I've always been interested in the stories behind people. You cannot understand someone until you know a bit about their past. We are all in part, a creation of our experiences. You must have guessed that I photograph weddings. I photograph weddings because I love stories. I love hearing a great story and then telling it. That's the drive and motivation behind my photography.
What leads anyone to something they love? How can you point to the beginning of anything? Life's dividing lines can become blurry indeed. My whole life i've been a classical musician. I'm a trumpet player that was a Grammy nominee in high school and like my pianist mother attended the Eastman School of Music. I'm a veteran having served four years as a principal trumpet player in the United States Air Force. If I am an artist, it's because of Mom. I'm married to an amazing woman. The mother of my beautiful baby daughter and a Dallas Police Officer. She is truly one of a kind. Like many people, I have lost a parent. My father died a few years ago and through the grief my photography gene kicked in. That's the best quick "blog bio" way I know of to describe it. My Dad's father was a photographer and passed along that love to Dad. When my Dad was gone and there were so many memories left behind in pictures something clicked. I miss Dad every day. I wish he could see what a wonderful thing his passing awakened in me. So many things bring us to "Today." These are just a few of mine.
I met Michelle and Robert over a year ago and instantly liked them. They have a very peaceful way about them. You know instantly that they’re the kind of folks that are easy to be around.
Robert and Michelle were married late last May at Perkins Chapel on the SMU campus in Dallas and celebrated afterwords at the Omni Park West.

Lee and I are happy beyond words with the new member of our family. Baby Sydney Leigh was born on May 5th and has brought us nothing but joy. Anyone with children can understand the excitement we feel as we’ve begun to watch her grow.
We’re a month in and it’s gonna be a fun ride!
